Testing out an idea for a game to get some more players. Anyhow, What I would like to do is get 4 or more players and assign a "lane" with one defender/one attacker per lane. Each attacker/defender will have their OBJ's for their lane which should keep players from roaming the battlefield, but if a unit wanders close to the edge of a lane or into another lane they can obviously be attacked. Now if a side reaches it's OBJ's for that lane, that side can begin maneuvering into other lanes to assist in securing victory for their side. Hex maps would be used to keep everyone straight on what their boundaries are.
So anyone want to give this a go or have any ideas on how to make this better/more playable?

I just stumbled along this thread and would like to say that I am insanely interested in playing some battletech, a campaign sounds great. I have at least a companies worth of various IS mechs and probably a trinary or so of clan, plus an easy company of IS armor. Anyway, if this idea is still being tossed around I'd love to join.
