New Skaven FAQ is up at GW!

All I have to say is... 8 pages?  An 8 page FAQ? How many pages of rules are in the Army Book??? Is it that poorly written? Was the conception/intent just not captured properly in the book?

I haven't played the Skaven yet in this edition, so does this FAQ help or hinder?

Jesus christ!  Well, I'm not touching that army till a new rulebook comes out.  That is A LOT of wording changes and abilities axed or added.

My initial impression is that they actually made Skaven better with this FAQ/Errata.  The one big nerf that stands out for me is that they made the Storm Banner "Once per game."

What is that stuff about the hell pit being on a 60x100? I thought like other monsters of its size (stegadon) it should be on a 50x100. Maybe they need to errata their errata

I'm pretty meh about it.  They've helped some stuff, but mostly, they made the book worse in several areas.

Nerfing the storm banner hurts, as Skaven need a way to deal with the armies full of monsters that seem to crop up more and more.  I'm not saying I'm not going to win games without that item, it just puts me at a distinct disadvantage against people who bring dragons and other flying beasts.
